graah
Things that have died off should stay dead. You can't let nostalgia trick you into thinking you can rekindle that old magic. It was special for a reason. It was spontaneous, not a deliberate process. It grew without being prodded, became great without any overt effort. It was amazing. Amazing things end though. We're left with those memories, though. Don't disrespect them by thinking you can just make it happen again. Don't trivialize greatness.

Look at these guys getting punched in the face
Looks sweet, eh? Of course it does. Shut up.
I don't have anything insightful to say about it, other then it looks like it's not totally horrible and that I'll prolly be getting it day of if I can(Depending on how the demo plays). So this post was semi useless. Go away.

Resolution
I plan to be as useless as I possibly can be. I've already cleared a space in my room for me to lay and fester in for the rest of my life, only rising to feed and use the bathroom. I think this will be a great experience.
also i want to finish a draft by the end of march. /ambition

Kingshit
I don't have a cause. This concerns me, as those who live without causes often become boring psuedo zombies who groan in low gravelly voices to and from work until they fall apart and die. Again. If someone asked me what my cause in life was, I'd prolly say "To create art", but that's such a flimsy basis to go by. You wanna make art? What kind of art? Art that makes people go "oooh that's pretty"? Art that shocks and challenges ideology? Art that really isn't art so much as it is a money grabbing scheme? Art that's pretentious as fuck and has no real value? What do you really want to create? I have the luxury of of being in the thawing spring of my youth, and also the additional luxury of knowing that the spring is only worth something it if you take advantage of it while its still here. I'm making a path, but sometimes I wonder how far it'll go.

[Music]-Mini Mansions(self titled)
Gaze upon the leather jackets of oblivion, and weep 1000 tears. Or 1. Whatever.
Harmonies, memorable instrumentation, nonsense lyrics. These are the things that make the Mini Mansion(s) go round. The music is powerful, without having much fire or fury. No pretense. There's only quality here. Easy to get lost within these sounds. What an amazing group, and an amazing album.
Their myspace page has a bit of their music there. Youtube only has low quality performance videos. They really don't convey their sound properly.

Some weird shit.
First spotted at Rosenburg Radio.
What is an Odd Future? Apparently a group of fucked out of their minds teenagers who like to rap. Surprisingly well.
There's a bunch of characters within this shit, but the only two I've really listened to at the moment are Earl Sweatshirt( Look up, you might see a song he made) and Tyler, The Creator(not sure if the comma is necessary but it gives the name a little more flair). They do have some features from people who I assume are a part of the group as well, but none of them hold a candle to these two.
Earl is fantastic with internal rhyme, which, when combined with the sadistic nature his lyrics take, gives his music this sense of dark intricacy. Entertaining son of bitch.
Tyler's a step below Earl in terms of pure lyricism, but he's still pretty dope. He's just as bizarre and twisted as Earl is, and his voice gives his music a little more ferocity. He also seems to be the main producer for the group.
Like I said before, I know jack shit about the rest of the guys in the group, but I'm gonna assume their projects aren't as gripping as Earl and Tyler's. I'll write more about Odd Future once I've listened to more shit. While you patiently wait another month or so to read that, go to their blog and download their music.
